First impression of Win 7 is Woot!
I picked up the oem 7 pro version so that I could get the xp mode and the ultimate version only offered bit locker and language support for 35 other languages.

Installation on to the 6831 Fx laptop was very quick, no problems so far except toasting the vista install when I created a 100 gig partition for win 7. [I'll reinstall/fix the vista partition later.... or maybe not ; ) ]

looks like most vista 64 drivers will work as win 7-64 drivers until they get updated by what ever company made them.

Only other problem that I have run in to is the 22" monitor I was using does not want to go in to full HD resolution. so right now the laptop is in laptop mode and not desktop replacement mode.

A note on upgrading: you can only upgrade from a like copy of vista 32->32 or 64->64 or home to home ultimate to ultimate.... so vista home 32 to vista home 64 requires a fresh install of win 7

The past few weeks I have been on a car hunt as the ole' beater I was driving finally crapped out. It's fixable but that money was better spent on something a bit newer. last night i finally picked up my new car after some minor hassles from the car dealer. alli can say is its a sweeeeet! ride : )

This whole week can be summed up with meh, aside from the fact that I Have felt under the weather so to speak. I really need a long vacation to recharge my batteries.

A few months back My mom got her self a new second hand PC, and last night she phoned up asking for help as her copy of windows failed the win validation when she tried to update to service pack 3. Later today I guess i have to go over to see what I can do.

I did some more tests with that 7" Eee PC, so far I got it to play GW, D2, and Jedi Kinght2:Jedi outcast
I have a few more "classic" games That I will try out later..... maybe max payne or UT2k4.

Tested another game dungeon siege and it works.

A few days back I found a good deal on a Eee PC 701 netbook as a lark I bought it. I ditched the linux os for an old copy of xp that I am not using anymore, and installed 2 gigs of ram. After windows was all fixed/patched/updated I attached my portable HD to it and ran the copy of guild wars I have saved there. I was quite surprised that I could get up to 25fps though most of the time I was getting 10fps out of the tiny PC

Arg A big storm hit last night that knocked out power on our block, 16 hours later the power company finally got things fixed. I had my laptop on full charge so yay \o/ I could keep my self entertained for a while..... crap no power for the cable modem @$%#@!
Bad thing was last night I was in the mood to do a marathon tour of cantha to fill out a good part of a NM book. whats worse when the power went out I was just finishing up a masters run of vis square and just finished the book store area with just the end bit to finish.

The PC rebuild can wait until win 7 release. I managed to get the laptop set as a desktop replacement for now. Having found my vga patch cable, I can still use my 22' monitor and have the laptop screen disabled.... It would be nice to run both screens but I don't want to take the chance of over taxing the built in vidcard of the laptop.

ARG My pc decided to give up the ghost last yesterday now I am once again down to one computer. Thanks to a good deal I found on boxing day last x- mass I picked up a gaming class laptop. so no interuptions in my game time.

I now have to look in to finding what bit hardware went on it [the pc]. fixing and replacing that or just bite the bulit and start picking up parts for a new PC. Talking to Penny last night also brought up a good point, win 7 will be comiing out in a few months, and thus I should hold off on a rebuild or new pc untill we find out what is certifide win 7 ready.

I still need to get a few more black dye for the feet and head gear, also I may get her a dread mask for this outfit. It was a tough choice on which line to apply the points from her first finished heroes book as the other set I was thinking of getting her was the dwarven.... to bad that set does not display in the HoM

A few days ago I Found my old log in info for my facebook account, the thing is I never really got the FB bug even though I have had an account there for over five maybe 6 years.
After a while of checking the site out again I did manage to find a few of the circle of GW buddies and acquaintances I know, Any ways I was wondering If any one else still uses that over hyped social networking site as I was thinking of making a new account there under my Indy persona [to protect others from the crazies...er relatives of mine that like to use FB to spy and harass].

As GW goes I'm still slowly working on Natasha's titles 19 done and 7 that I could finish in a week or two if I put some effort in to them.

That's five titles plus the two for getting legendary in both those lines. However right now I am enjoying returning to some of my under used characters. Other titles like sweets and party will slowly come along with the farming of Nicholas gifts.

As for real life stuff I will soon be looking for a new vehicle, my old wreck of a car-'86 olds Ninety eight is just not cutting it any more. the big question there is what to get to replace it?

After talking to Mog a few days back I found a store that had the game on sale. To help my first exposure to this game I based my first sim on Indy....

The game was not that hard to get into and before I knew it, Sim Indy had a girlfriend and was getting it on with her. It just happened to be a co-worker at city hall..... well not really a co-worker, it was his boss.

This past weekend as far as GW goes, I have been quite busy with 2 side projects First - my Pre-sear ranger and second my paragon. The ranger is almost ready to start her solo hunting and endless dieing for LDoA. her second perpose is for farming up the hunters gifts and the items contained there in. So far close to 900 party points [fireworks] with 600 min of alcohol and 500 sweet points.
once she has a stash = to 1k or 10% of the title I will make a ferry character to take that to post for Natasha to use.

The paragon is a different story, I miss DoA ; both as part of an ursan or 600/smite team
After hearing about the hero team build from both Mog and Penny I spent all of today advancing the paragon though the NF story line. From the ss sanctuary all the way to Vabbi. The bad news is that he was a potential survivor candidate and if I did not try a round of dwarven boxing he would have not have had his first death. Grrr lag. Oh well it did give me a reason to push him hard through NF now that I do not have worry about babying a survivor.
Tomorrow- Vabbi to bone palace.....maybe even all the way in to torment

In GW I have finalized my main account warrior's looks and spent 5 gold Z-coins to unlock the moss spider

I found a way to lvl up pets for the Menagerie, take the pets to the raptor cave. have it engage the big raptors and have it die. After this wait for the skill bar to recharge. Once that is done continue on with the farm run as normal.

With 7 HM runs the pet goes from lvl 5 to lvl 15

....And they said it could not be done

The wait was well worth it...and to top it off we can now makeover the old characters with new looks

So far I have changed Natasha and my Ranger Tarra

I was quite tired of the hair she had and like most of my characters i am satisfied with the her face/size

With my ranger I no longer wanted the barbie look and I really love the ponytail from nightfall

My warr Chalista has a new look too. new hair and hair color. I also darkened her skin tone a few shades

Kaila my oldest charracter ....How many times in the first year I wanted to remake her,I even created a replacement necro that gave way to Indy. As always I liked her face just the hair had to go

Once again Mescon has come and gone for another year,It was nice to see all the familiar names in the crowds. This year I even managed to get the oldest mesmer I have to the henge or the event- Natasha Vanguard...a mesmer I made on my sisters account. When I deleted her ele off my account, I recreated the new Natasha in looks and skills off of Nat vr,1.0 design specs.I guess you could say that I was making clones of my mesmers way before Mog lol

I think I shoud do an update, I do not know why as i dont have much of anything new to say..

I picked up a new harddrive for my PC, there were no problems with installing Vista. I did find one thing that made me want to say a fre chioce words to bill gates. I have a usb portable HD that has all my back up pics /music and other things. vista was telling me i did not have permition to do any thing to the files- some thing to do with ownership : P

I was bored in GW and noticed my plat stores are way up now that I no longer have to buy skill caps for Natasha. I decided now that I play my monk a lot more she needed some new duds.
50 plat later she now has ancient : )
